Support » Plugin: Advanced Woo Search » Search not always working, depending on logged in user type

  • Great plugin, and does everything I would expect. was thinking of getting the full version but then noticed that it no loner works correctly if I am logged in as a user with certain credentials. I.e works fine for search on website if not logged in, or as admin, but I have wholesale accounts on it and when a wholesale user is logged in, certain product names no longer provide a result. Once I log out as wholesale user, or log back in as administrator, it works again.
Some other keywords entered as guest user show 6 results in preview as per settings, when logged in as a wholesale user suddenly only 1 item shows in preview for the same keyword, but most or all others when I click on view all.

Anybody else came across this and know a fix?

I am using Divi theme. Seamless Integration in Settings, using the Divi search icon/field in my fixed header menu. Re-index the table and clearing cache doesn’t make a difference.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Latest plugin release contains support for wholesale plugin categories restriction.

Wholesale plugin has feature to restrict access to some products with certain categories. So some user roles from your site can has this restriction.

Please check this option inside your Wholesale plugin.

Ok thanks i will try an update. But i don’t have any product restrictions set up. And if i switch off/deactivate the plugin and use the standard wc product search the particular keywords show all the correct results when logged in as a wholesale user.

I actually have the latest version 2.06 installed, just checked.

So you are sure than inside product categories options you don’t set any user roles restrictions like that – ?

One more thing – please go to plugin settings page and disable ‘Cache results’ option.

Turned off cache results but no change.

I may have 1 or 2 products with restrictions for Wholesale user, but definitely not for the products i entered for the search query. The search terms entered should produce results for all logged in and gues users.
And if i revert back to the standard woocommerce search after deactivating the plugin the results show all correctly again.

    Thanks for looking into this!
