Search media library by filename

    The search box provided by Media Library in wordpress administration does not actually search in file names. I am looking for a solution to this. I suppose that I need to use WP_Query sql filters, or is there a better way? Thank you.

    P.s. This was also posted to wp stack exchange, but still no answers.

    Hi Marco–

    I know it’s been a while since you posted, but did you ever figure out a solution to this? I can’t seem to get the media library to search on filenames.

    I still haven’t found a solution for this. If I will find it (or implement it by myself) I will post it here, so keep the topic subscribed.
