Hello,

is there a way to speed up the search? It takes at least one or two seconds to actually have the results displayed. Other similar plugins have a faster search function, but I would really love to use your plugin.

Is there a way for you or for me to speed up the search?

Stafflist listens for a “keyup” keyboard event prior to conducting the search, so it should be instant. However, if your connection to the WordPress database is slow, you will see delays in the results being returned. Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do about this.

Thank you for your answer. I don’t really think my connection to the DB is slow. Other plugins work just fine and the search is instant there.

Hm, anything else you can think of that would slow down the search for me?

There are a few things that can inhibit the performance of MySQL:

We’ve considered altering the search queries to use match/against in place of like, but it’s not something on the developer roadmap quite yet:
