Search in Tags / Page Parent / Posts on Pages

  • Hello!

    I have 3 questions:

    1. Search in Tags
When using the search function on my page, the search engine only searches the titles of the posts, but not the tags. Is there any way to enable searching in the “Tags”-field, too?

    2. Page Parent
When I create a page with a “page parent”, the page does not show up in the menu. Can I enable something like a submenu? In case I have to change the template manually: Is there a built-in PHP-function to retrieve the subpages of the current page?

    3. Posts on Pages
Is there a way to show/include posts on pages, or are “Posts” and “Pages” completely separated?

    Many thanks!

  • 1. Try to search for plugins that “search everything”.

    2. Theme related display questions should be asked with links.

    3. They are completely separated and never mix them!
Next, instead of theoretical questions ask WHAT you want to do and we will tell you HOW.

    Thanks for your fast reply!

    1. I installed the Tag Search plugin. That works!

    2. Just wanted to know if there’s built-in support for this. I think I will use the Fold page list plugin and modify my template manually.

    3. Okay! Just what I needed to know.
