    Hi,

At the very top of my posts, I have this shortcode [player id=xxxx], inserted by the plugin Html5 Audio Player Pro. The search itself gives correct results, but when I choose (any type of) “Search hit Highlighting” in the “Excerpts and Highlights” tab, and then click on one of the search results to see the content, the post is truncated right after the audio player shortcode at the top! When I choose “no highlighting”, everything is fine again.
You can see this behaviour for yourself on the link below, and do a search on the word “hybrid”, then click on a result. Do the same on the live site instead of the staging copy and see the different (& correct) result.

Has somebody any idea what’s going on here?

    Thank you so much!
    Nick

Which version of Relevanssi are you running? Are you using the latest version (4.17.0) or some older version?

If you’re not using the latest version, try upgrading. Does that help?

If you are using the latest version, does downgrading to 4.16.0 fix the problem? You can download 4.16.0 here.

This is related to something that was changed in the latest version, so that would be the first thing I need to know.

    Thank you so much!

I downgraded to v.4.16.0 and that fixed the problem indeed.

    Happy again!

Thanks. I figured out the problem – it was a fairly specific set of HTML on your post pages – and I think I have a fix for this for the next version of Relevanssi. You should be able to safely upgrade to 4.17.1.
