I have a couple of questions on the search gallery feature. The link above contains images and a search box (which, for some reason is covered by the images, but that’s not what I’m asking about). You can see the red outline of the search box peeking out of the right side of the gallery page (to type in search terms).

    1) What does the search look for? I can type anything and I always get 0 results (all images go away). It doesn’t appear to be searching by the file name, title, or tags that I can add in the tags area. If so, what does the search look for to find images?

    2) Can I create my own search box, put it where I want on the page, and style it as I like to use as the search box for the gallery images? On the site we’re working on, we have all our search boxes in the main “feature” image area at the top of the pages (for
example, the Articles page). I’d like to have the image search box there as well.

Gallery search work based on all text content which contain gallery elements. for example it’s title, caption or description field of the gallery images, every separate work could be detected by search as keyword. Another option it’s search by tags. Tags could be defined in every gallery image.
For now you can change color and default label of the gallery search box.
