[Resolved] Search function inoperable after working on theme

  • My search fuction has somehow gotten ruined after working on my page.

It now returns “NothingNot Found” for any search

The call for it is in sidebar.php and that file has not been edited at all. I was working on customizing the “benevolence” theme by Theron Parlin when this happened. None of my themes seem to make it work properly anymore though.

The site is a “craigslist” of sorts for my hometown. It is not actually being used yet… just worked on and tested by me. It is at http://www.chapelhilltraders.com/cgi/wp

I have freeservers hosting if that makes any difference.
    Thanks.

  • okay… I’m new to this… that’s all I can say for myself. Sorry to waste everyone’s time, but apparently, WP only searches POSTS and not COMMENTS. Is there a way to make it index comments and search them? Or am I asking you all to reinvent the wheel?

Maybe something in here would help:

thanks oriecat… I actually had found that on my own, but was unable to make any of the options work properly. However, it is a good starting point for anyone looking for an answer to this problem so thanks for posting the link for me.
