How do you have your FAQ homepage set up in the settings?
I used the default with faqs so the adddress is http://www.sitelink.com/faqs
Does you standard WordPress search function normally? If not I will give you a few suggestions to try.
Currently our website does not have a search function.
In that case, here are some suggestions to try:
1. Enable the default WP search and test it. If it does the same thing as the FAQ search then the problem is either a WP setting somewhere, or there is a problem with your template. Otherwise, go to the next step:
2. Go to your permalinks settings. Do not change anything, just save the permalinks and then test the search. If that does not work:
3. Deactivate a single plugin at a time and test the FAQ search. If it works properly after deactivating a specific plugin then you know that plugin is the cause. If it still acts the same after deactivating a plugin, you can reactivate that plugin and go to the next one. If this does not work:
4. Deactivate and uninstall Q and A Focus Plus and then re-install and activate it. Test the search after activating the new install.
See if the latest update works.
I am still looking at the 4 suggestions above.
The latest update did not fix the issue though.
I had to get some assistance from the web company who migrated us to WP.
Here is his comment:
The plugin uses the default wordpress search. We didn’t have a search on the site, so there was no template to display the search, so the site displayed the default template for the page, which is where the news header came from.
REDACTED – Looks like you got is working.
