# Search external database

 * How easy would it be to be build a WordPress homepage where part of the page 
   has a search function which connects to an external PHP database e.g. searching
   a list of contacts? I would want part of the page to also list WordPress blog
   entries?
 * Is it possible to combine my own PHP on a WordPress page like this?

 * Yes. Sure. You can connect to any database that you have credentials for, and
   that PHP can connect to of course, and I don’t really know what the complete 
   list is.
