# search everything plugin doesn’t

 * search everything, that is. How could I extend it to also search author name 
   or other data stored in usermeta?

 * are we talking dan cameron’s search everything? the version i use has the option(
   on admin>options>search everything) to include metadata, but ive never tested
   it.
 * have you tried asking him directly on dancameron.org/wordpress? he is really 
   good at helping out.

 * I tried to ask him, but his captcha thing is busted (image is a 404) and his 
   mail form is also broken…

 * Here is the quick fix that I’ve come up with – add a custom field that would 
   include the author’s name – that will add it as metadata and make it searchable
   by Search Everything. Not the answer I really want, but a temporary fix in the
   meantime…
