Search doesn't work unless logged in

    The search doesn’t work unless a user is logged in. Admin to subscriber. In other words the Public/null permission requires a login.

    The host is Host Gator.

    When the same site is on Lunarpages I don’t have this problem. .htaccess is the same on both hosts and the version of WP is the same.
