Search Button goes Straight to Blog

    I am currently in the process of working on a 3.9.1 wordpress site. We have a search bar on the top right corner of our website, but each time you hit the search button it takes you directly to the blog that goes with the site, instead of just searching the website itself. Our website is http://www.ascendum.com

    Is there any way or a specific place/ code I can go to change this? Each time I search something, it only searches our 10 news and events, not our entire site with dozens of pages and information. Please help! I am new at coding and wordpress and I have exhausted many efforts in order to fix this.

    Yes, you are right. The search function in WordPress only searches post titles and content. You can extend search functionality by installing a plugin.

    You can find free search plugins in the plugin repository. There are also premium ones.

    I did a search for search plugins.
