Hello
I don’t see any searchbar in your link
This is since the latest WP updates right?
On my 1 site I have the awesome looking spacious widgets search-bar, on a newer site the widget is crazy looking. The block update for widgets messed it up.
Screenshots Dropbox links:
Good: https://www.dropbox.com/s/55zwsxadzy9dvr3/Schermafdruk%202021-12-20%2016.21.28.png?dl=0
Ugly: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fjvmr7njp3hih06/Schermafdruk%202021-12-20%2016.21.52.png?dl=0
Any inside would be much appreciated.
Hi @willowleaf,
Thank you for writing in,
Can you please your site link so that I can inspect and provide you an appropriate solution? The screenshot which you have sent earlier is not working fine as I couldn’t find any file attached with the link.
Kindly share the site link and screenshot again and I will get back to you.

Oops, I think I moved them to another folder. My bad.
It is working well in http://www.achtmaalserallyclub.nl
But it is big and weird in http://www.bodycastingyourmemory.nl
Problem is, the second website is behind an offline front because it is not finished. It has no content/ fake text content.
The new widget blocks are horrible. I love the widgets in the top website. But if I edit those they also go in to blocks an become bad.
I will take another screenshot, rename and remember to keep it in the same place.

Hello! Sorrry, but due to no feedback I removed the search box as it looked indeed horrible. I now made a screenshot:

I have absolutely no idex how to get this fixed.

Hi @seoulm
Since you have removed it from your site, for now, I couldn’t help you fix it. Otherwise, I would have provided the appropriate height and width to make the search box look better on your site.
If you add the search box again kindly let me know and I will help you fix it with some CSS code.
Regards.
Hi!
as I experienced the same now with WP 5.9, Spacious Theme and the Block Searchbox here my solution:
#wp-block-search__input-1 {
max-height: 38px;
}
regards, Frank
Hi @frankddo,

For anyone coming to this post freaking out about their search widget freaking out i have 100% the solution!!!
I installed the plugin Classic Widgets.
My nice underlined heads are back, the search bar is included like it always was. With the nice colored magnifying glass and the colored underline for the head title.
#fixed 😀
