Search box different on pages

Hello,
In the menu I want a search box, so I made a child theme and used the snippet. With search-icon.png for a magnifying glass.
On the page “galerij” it shows up like I want it. Just an icon and when selected, the box. Although in a different browser I see F400 instead of the icon. Other pages are showing a bigger box, so I’m doing something wrong, but can’t figure out what?My site: http://www.farcows.nl

Regarding the f400, it was used when genericons was being used. Now, customizr has moved to FontAwesome.
