[Resolved] Search Bar Misplaced

  • My search bar is sticking out from the sidebar and covering my posts. I tried using various forms of align and width commands in the searchform.php script but non have resolved the issue. You can see the problem at http://www.brettinman.com – the sidebar is on the right but the searchbar doesn’t stick to the right. I can post configs if necessary but it’s all default stuff.

    just a suggestion:

    edit your #search …

    #search { margin-left:10px; margin-bottom: 40px; height: 30px; }

    No luck. What parameter would be pushing it out from the edge of the sidebar?

    Ok some mild success – simply bringing down the width of the search bar brings it back in line (although even at higher widths it wasn’t aligning to the right correctly). It’s kind of messing with the item below it (Pages is missing some of its underline) but its acceptable now.

    Another update – it looks fine in IE but is clipping some of the underlining of “Pages” in Firefox. Good enough. Thanks for the help.
