Search and Advanced Search only refreshes page

    Both the Search Listing and Advanced Search only refreshes the page and not going to the advanced search filters or “Search Listings” not searching by keywords.

    I tried deactivating all plugins and switching themes, they still don’t work. Do you know if there is anything else that conflicts with the Search option, I only used POEdit to translate to Chinese and no custom functions were added.

    I tried deleting my CSS that hides the “View Listing” buttons or the padding for the search bar, but it doesn’t seem to be the issue.

    NOTE: You can just copy and paste the Chinese words from test entries and paste into search box to test

    I realized the “Submit a listing” button stopped working as well suddenly…this is urgent, we need to release this section to the live website today to client.

    ALL /?wpbdp_ links are not working, even the edit listing

    Nevermind, I was missing a page with the [businessdirectory] shortcode, but the search isn’t quite searching the listings, always “No results found”

    Hi Carol,

    Sorry that you ran into issues here!

    For search issues, usually it’s best to understand how you did it. Can you tell me:
    – What you searched for? (Screenshot of the form just before you search is really the best way)
    – What you got back? (Again, a screenshot is best)
    – What did you not see that you expected to see? (Links to specific listings are helpful here)

    Knowing that will help us pin the issue down better.

    It could be an issue with the database encoding if you’re using Chinese as the search text (and in the listings). What is your current configured database encoding for the WP setup?

    Hi I am also experiencing the same problem. I can only search if I say “advanced search” but the normal search says nothing found. I typed in the exact name of the listing and it found nothing.
