    I have purchased Nextgen Pro and all in all it is a great product, however I can’t quite believe that a search function doesn’t really exist!
    It seems that it is left to a not very good third party plugin that charges a premium price to be able to search tags.
    I have also tried this method;

    But I can’t get it to work (if anyone can help me with that I would welcome advice) I am using the Genesis Framework.
    I am not a php developer, but I am happy to copy and paste code. Being able to search the galleries by tags and image titles is fundamental to the website that I am building and really should be part this gallery.

    Thank you,
    I have contacted your support team directly and they inform me that there is as yet no reliable front end way to search titles or tags in the NextGen gallery.
    I think that it is better if potential customers are aware of this issue as typing an image tag into the WordPress search box and receiving no results (when you know they are there) is a bit disconcerting. Unless of, of course, I am missing something?

    Yeah i’m searching for this function for a long time. And the link you posted seems not to be working https://wordpress.org/support/topic/ngg-20-and-image-search/page/2?replies=36

    Im getting the following errors:

    Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$name in /htdocs/www/wp-content/plugins/nggSearch2/nggSearch2.php on line 150

    Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$title in /htdocs/www/wp-content/plugins/nggSearch2/nggSearch2.php on line 151

    Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$galdesc in /htdocs/www/wp-content/plugins/nggSearch2/nggSearch2.php on line 152

    Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$pageid in /htdocs/www/wp-content/plugins/nggSearch2/nggSearch2.php on line 153

    Fatal error: Class ‘nggNavigation’ not found in /htdocs/www/wp-content/plugins/nggSearch2/nggSearch2.php on line 205

    the other option is not much better:

    The plugin generated 239 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

    Yes, I am surprised that more people aren’t posting about the lack of this feature;
    You can try and vote for it here

    Who knows if that will have any influence?

    @brodiebrodie – We do try to keep the most “popular” feature request items at the top of our potential new feature sets list. We do recognize search is important but unfortunately we do not have a timeline yet on when it may be implemented.

    Thanks for sharing that link!
