Search & index.html

    Hey all.
    I’ve had trouble with my search on my wordpress blog…
    I currently use index.html as a splash page – only because I have a lot of content on my WP blog and can’t be bothered moving it all to another directory(plus I’m afraid I’ll accidentally do something wrong).
    Anyway I’ve noticed that since putting in an index.html, whenever I try search for something in the search box it takes me back to the index.html page.

    Is there a way around this or will I just have to delete my splash page/move the blog?:(
