Multiple field search

  • Having trouble with a search involving two custom fields.

One field is for city, one for activity.

If I check City X, I get all City X results.
If I check Activity Y, I get all Activity Y results.

If I check City X AND Activity Y (separate fields), I DO NOT get City X results that are also Activity Y, as logic would suggest.

If this is not possible, why does the plugin allow BOTH fields in ONE search form? The form should be limited to searching one field, or at least come with the PROMINENT caveat that searching multiple fields at once is an OR operation only?

I appreciate the work that went into this plugin, and really appreciate that it is free, but I wonder if the “ADVANCE” in the name is a bit of a stretch …

Have you choose “AND” in the Boolean relationship between the meta queries, in the Custom Meta Field section?
