I have just noticed that the links stopped working. I have been using STOC for a long time, and only now had that problem.

I’m using the Elements option in my GeneratePress that I can reuse across all my posts. The table looks ok on the posts but the links no longer work.
All posts are written with Guttenberg, with no groupings or any fancy layout/styles, etc.

  • I have the same problem.

The TOC and links in it show up as usual, but when clicking on them, nothing happens.

Haven’t had issues with sTOC in the past, and nothing has changed.

I’m using the Twenty-Twentyone theme and nothing else fancy, I simply insert the TOC block and that’s it.

Not sure whether this bug has been introduced with the latest WP 6.0 or STOC’s latest update.

    Thanks for looking into this!

    Same here 🙁
    Links are no longer scrollable

I only use the core heading block. I also use generateblocks but only as container for Simple-TOC. All in one reusable block.

A short time ago this worked fine.

    UPDATE:

Short test in a staging page:

Add Simple TOC Block -> Links work
Added Simple TOC Block as reusable block -> Links don’t work anymore

Maybe this will help with troubleshooting.

    UPDATE:

    Downgrading to 5.0.8 work.

So there must be a bug in the last two versions.

I have downgraded to version 5.0.8 as suggested by dieter93, and all is working again. I have also tried 5.0.9 with no luck.

Thank you, Marc we really appreciated it. I really like the plugin for its simplicity, and don’t want to switch.

Okay. Please try 5.0.16. Now the ids will be added to all posts. This is a brute-force approach but should fix this problem.

Version 5.0.16 works here on my site. Thanks for the quick fix 🙂
