It’s the dash “-” and not the number. There will be a fix.
I can’t reproduce this problem. Headlines like “3-Burnt out cartridge coil” work fine. Are you sure you use the most recent version of the plugin? What happens if you delete the headline and add it again? What php version are you running on your server?
Or are there other plugins activated? Or you migrated from another TOC plugin? With WordPress 6.0 and PHP 8 or 7 I can’t reproduce this problem

Hi,
I used the latest version of the plugin. And I delete the headline and add it again, it is still not working.
Using a Litespeed server or Nginx server, both not working. PHP version 7.4.
There are multiple plugins activated, but I tried to disable all except TOC, it is not working as well.
I can send you a temporary login if you can offer an email.
BTW, I am using bricks builder, not sure if it is caused by this.

Pls provide a temporary login for simpletoc@marc.tv
I can replicate the problem. But I can’t isolate the cause. Could you please disable all caches and all other plugins including bricks and try it? “Bricks” costs money and therefore I can’t test it myself
I just disable bricks and use 2022 theme, it is working… Seems bricks causes this issue. Can this be fixed? Bricks offers free trial https://try.bricksbuilder.io/
Sorry, but bricks has to solve this. =/ Please open a bug in their system. SimpleTOC is a free and open source plugin which very simple intentionally. So they have to figure out why that happens.
Got it, thank you for all your help! 🙂
