Support » Plugin: GDPR Cookie Compliance » Scripts/Cookies not appearing in Header

    I currently have the following Google Analytics Tracking on the website:

    <script>
    window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
    function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
    gtag('js', new Date());
    gtag('config', 'UA-xxxxxxxx-x');
    setTimeout("gtag('event', 'adjusted bounce rate', {'event_label':'more than 30 sec'})",30000 );
    </script>

    I have removed the above coding, from within the </head> tags and inserted them into the Plugin settings. When such ‘Cookies’ have been accepted, the Plugin fails to insert these into the header.

    Am I using the incorrect Scripts or are you aware of any conflicts? I have removed all other Plugins, as well as used WordPress’ default Theme etc, but still the issue persists.

    Hi @craig1986,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

    Could you please send us more details about the issue?

    We have a related section in the FAQ page:

    Pasted code is not visible when view-source page is viewed.
    Our plugin loads the script with Javascript, and that’s why you can’t find it in the view-source page.
    You can use the developer console in Chrome browser (Inspect Element feature) and find the scripts.

    You can check your Google Analytics to see if the script is working properly

    Hope this helps
