• When I try to edit one of my site’s pages in Internet Explorer the window stays blank for a while, no HTML appears, and then an IE message appears saying “A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script? – Yes/No”

And so it does not show and let me edit the code. It only happens on one of the pages of my site (I believe). The others I can edit.

    How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance for any help, it is very much appreciated.

  • It’s probably a plugin or a theme issue, as I don’t think WordPress uses any JavaScript in the page templates by default.

Can you think of any plugins that apply to that page? Have you tried deactivating plugins to see if the problem goes away? What’s the name of your theme?

WP uses tinymce which is a big javascript wysiwyg editor program. If you are on a very slow pc it could cause that problem.

Oh, right. I missed the “edit” part somehow. Yes, it could very well be TinyMCE. Try disabling it by unchecking the box under Users > Profile.
