So I wanted to add like a shrinking menu at the top and looked it up online and found that I could add some lines to the function.php and … you see where I’m going now Now I’ve got this showing up : Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/tahities/ www/wp-content/themes/type/functions.php on line 575 I can’t access my site, my account, I searched online and found I could use an FTP client to correct it but couldn’t get it to work for whatever reasons, it’s not connecting to the server or something. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme (Twenty Sixteen.). I don’t have FTP access. And how do I repair or replace the functions.php if I can’t access anything ? Are these two really the only options I have ? They might also have a file browser in your hosting control panel where you could access the files. They will be in the directory * www/wp-content/themes/type * You can download the theme files here: [https://wordpress.org/themes/type/](https://wordpress.org/themes/type/) and replace the functions.php on the server with the functions.php from that download. * You could also just delete the “type” directory. That will let you log back in. * You can also try switching your active theme via phpMyAdmin if you have access to that.
