What option are you talking about?
What backend area are you working in?
Any options I check or uncheck remain after I dismiss the dropdown. It may be that there are some options that have been depreciated and once you uncheck them, they are removed.
when you sign in to wordpress on on dash board it has options, you click on that and several things pop up, you have the option to do different things or can close those options. To the right it has the words dismiss this in a box and when you click on dismiss this all those options across the top of dashboard disappear. How do I get those back?

That word Dismiss up to the right when I clicked on it it removed a lot of those options on left, I was asking how to get that word dismiss to show back and the options it took off.
at the top right of the screenyou will see a tab ‘Screen Options’ – click it
next click the check box ‘Welcome’ and you should get back what you want.

Yes, in the backend on teh ‘Dashboard’ is where you should select the ‘Screen Option’ tab.
1) what version of WordPress?
2) Are you logged in as an ‘admin’?
3) have you disabled ALL your plugins?

Temporally disable ALL your plugins and see what happens
Screen option not working. Click on tab and no fields are there. Latest update and default theme has been used and trunk version also. It seems to be a bug!

1 – are you logged in as an admin (I’m sure you are but just checking)
2 – Have you disabled ALL plugins?
3 – When you click on the screen option tab, does the drop down occur?
4.6.1, the drop down dose occur. disconnected all active plugins and no difference. After you have created your first site should the admin site have those options on it. My site dashboard has all those options and that dismiss that I hit on the admin dashboard that took all those options away. Try to make sure I don’t hit that one until I figure out what happen to the ones on the admin dashboard.

I just read on wordpress site that if you create a network admin that the screen would not have all those options but have a extra button like (instant start) for instantly starting another site. Maybe that is what I have done not knowing it at the time, only solution I have come across. Have not found how to go back to administration admin.
I meant (right now) then under that it says

So I believe that is what I have done, that is what I have done, have not found out how to go back to just the admin dashboard yet, I can still do everything like it is now, so I can stop worrying myself about it.
