 * While doing a fair amount of updating of pages, images, etc. The Genesis Slider
became mixed-up and is showing text from one Page and an image from another.
On other slides the text and images are missing altogether.
 * I’m not running any caching that I’m aware of (no cache-specific plugins), I’ve
tried regenerating thumbnails (via plugin). I’ve made changes to, and re-saved
the pages in question. I’ve also changed the pages/posts to appear in the slider
and changed them back without any success.
 * Any thoughts?

 * I’ve figured this out on my own. The trouble was that I didn’t have a featured
image set for the pages being used for the slider. I did have images in the pages
themselves, and based on the documentation, understood the slider would use them
if they were present. I guess that’s not the case.
 * With all of that said, it still doesn’t explain why one of the slider images
was that of an image that was neither on the page or set as the featured image.

 * The slider chooses the first image that is uploaded and attached to the post
   or page.
 * Inserting an image in the post itself or from the media library is a technically
   different process.
 * you can upload an image to a post/page and this creates and association in WordPress
whereby the image and post/page are linked.
 * This is also shown on the Media page in the “uploaded to” column.
