 * I don’t really see where scores are entered or how they are displayed in standings.
   Using Ice Hockey mode.
 * Documentation indicates creating games using events. What am I missing?

 * [@reaser](https://wordpress.org/support/users/reaser/) you create events for 
   your games, training sessions, etc by specifying a date and time. To enter the
   score of the game, edit that event (game) and you should see a section called
   Team Results where you can enter the values.
 * To ensure that a particular event counts towards your league table, be sure to
   select “Competitive” from the format section. If you select a “Friendly” format
   for an event, the results for this event will not be counted towards the overall
   league table.
