Schedules & Scoreboards – Is it possible to list Game Title?

    Is it possible to list Game Title? I am running into a situation where many high school games are tournament based with multiple teams… and would prefer to list the name of the Tournament etc. or a playoff situation, where on particular school hosts, but you dont know opponents.. so I would like to be able to show “Playoff – First Round” etc as I have input in the back end Title area.

    Hi Cathie,
    Thanks for posting here. The Game Title is for your use – sorting/organizing – on the backend. It never appears on the front end output for a shortcode. There is a Game Name field which appears in all shortcodes, but it displays with the game time/result field. This is sometimes helpful, but not really want you want (I don’t think).

    Some admins handle this situation by creating ‘teams’ for the opponent field, in your case maybe something like “Tournament Name – Opponent TBD”, then modifying the game when the teams are announced.
