Scheduled posts status changes to published

  • I’m working on an event site that uses future scheduled posts in a calendar to announce upcoming classes.

I’m having an issue where a scheduled post’s status changes from “scheduled” to “published” whenever anybody loads the page on the front end.

Once it becomes “published” (even though the date is still in the future) it will no longer show up in future posts lists, breaking the functionality of the theme.

The proper functionality (I believe) would be for the post to retain it’s “scheduled” status until the publish date and time occur.

My url is http://mystudioomaha.com however I am using an anticipate plugin preventing non administrators from seeing the design (I was supposed to be launching today).

To troubleshoot, I’ve disabled all of my plugins to no avail. When I changed the theme to the default theme, this erroneous function no longer occurs. I reloaded all the theme files, also to no avail.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
