Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.
Over the past 2 weeks or so, I’ve scheduled over 10 posts on at least 1 of my 2.8 blogs. And every one was published right on schedule – which makes me think that scheduling problems are theme, plugin or hosting related.
I have 2.8.4 and just started having this problem yesterday. I have over 9 scheduled posts not post this morning and throughout last night. Before that, all was fine. No new theme, plugins (updated or new), or any changes to the site.
I had to go into each post and manually change the status of the post from “Scheduled” to “Draft” and update the post, then publish the post in order to get the posts to actually publish.
