Scheduled Export to FTP Not Working

I don’t know if i’m just doing something wrong or if its actually not working, When I do the test the file shows up in my ftp folder just fine. When I set the days and time and save the settings, nothing happens. Nothing shows up in my ftp folder. I dont know any php I just want the plugin to work.
I need some help on this ASAP.

WP-cron is a virtual cron that only works when the page is loaded. so it won’t run in time if you have few visitors.

you should replace WordPress cron with real cron.

So I ran into a weird issue. My host is media temple. Apparently meditemple doesn’t support cron jobs. So maybe this is a stupid question, but here it goes.
Could I use a different host (godaddy) to replace the cron job? Or does my wordpress site have to be on the same host as the cron job I am replacing?

Example… My wordpress site is hosted on mediatemple. I disable wp-cron in the php.
I set up a new cron on godaddy using this command: wget -q -O – http://e8d.a7e.mwp.accessdomain.com//wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron >/dev/null 2>&1

Will it still work if they are different hosts?

the probem was solved by re-activating the plugin
