[Resolved] Scheduled Backup not working due to wp-cron fopen() error

  • Manual Backup is working fine but scheduled Backup with plugin BackUpWordPress 2.2.4 on my wordPress 3.5.1 site is not working. In the backend tools/backups after a few seconds I receive the message alert:

BackUpWordPress hat ein Problem entdeckt. wp-cron.php gibt eine Konnte Verbindung zu http://www.xxxx.com/wp-cron.php über fopen() nicht öffnen-Antwort zurück.

Disabling the “general force to login for access the site” in the network privacy plugin doesn’t solve the problem.

    Any hint is appreciated.

The plugin uses wp-cron to perform automatic backups, if you are somehow blocking/breaking the built in cron functionality then the automatic backups won’t work.
