 * Hi folks,
 * I search and search but I didn’t fund the answer : When I create a post, put
   categories on it and schedule it for future publish and save. At the time of
   publishing, it always add the ‘Uncategorized’ category to my previous category.
 * Any ideas why ?

 * I just tested this out, and the scheduled post got published with the correct
   assigned category and nothing else.
 * This is what I **_think_** must be going on with your case:
 * 1) Your default category is “Uncategorized”. Note that all posts that don’t have
   any category selected automatically get this default category assigned.
 * 2) You SAVE your post BEFORE selecting your desired category. When you do this,
   the post is automatically assigned the default category, which is “Uncategorized”
   in your case. But you probably have a lot of categories (such that this automatically
   assigned “Uncategorised” category is not within view, unless you scroll down)—
   so you don’t realize that this “Uncategorized” category is selected.
 * 3) You then select your desired category and schedule the post. But note that
   at this point the post is assigned to two categories: your chosen category, and
   the “Uncategorized” category that was automatically assigned when you saved the
   post the first time.
 * That’s why you’re seeing the scheduled posts assigned to the two categories.
 * At least this is my theory. But you can easily test it out. Schedule a new post,
   but be sure to assign the category BEFORE saving the post the first time. Or,
   before hitting SCHEDULE, scroll down your list of categories to be absolutely
   certain that no other category is selected other than your desired category.

 * Hi guys,
 * Thanks for your answer. George, I try what you told, and no success. So I’ll
   try on a fresh install of WP, to check is the problem still there…
 * I’ll keep you post.

 * I’ll try from a fresh install and there’s no problem, so it came from plugins…
 * I’ll keep searching.
