I run giveaways on my blog that end at certain days/times, depending on the individual post. I was wondering if there is a way to modify (custom fields + cron, perhaps?) or create/hack a way to make it so that I can set comments to close at a particular time of a particular day (say, jan 26th at 5:00pm CST).
I am not familiar with cronjobs as far as syntax, but I know how to use the cron wizard in my cpanel to create one. What would be great is if a rudimentary plugin could be created, that could pull a custom field (comments_close?) in which I have manually entered a date&time for it to close, and run/close those comments at that exact time.
Please let me know if this is possible and/or if someone would like to develop a small plugin to make this happen!
