Support » Plugin: All In One WP Security & Firewall » Scanner – Files/Directories To Ignore

  • I really like your functionalities of your standalone security solution.
However the Scanner – “Files/Directories To Ignore” could be improved.

Everytime WordPress is (automatically) updating I get an email about changed files. The list is far to long (and I manage about 40 websites) that I have to ignore the main WordPress directories in order the mail makes sense at all (has less enough entries to read):

    Files/Directories To Ignore:

    wp-content/cache
    wp-content/plugins
    wp-content/uploads
    wp-content/languages
    wp-admin
    wp-includes

BUT (of course) any unusual files placed inside these folders are not scanned so malware could be there. I really do not care about changed WordPress core files (as updates do replace them regulary). But I do care about uploaded malware files inside these folders.

Could you (somehow) enhance the scanner, so it knows what are actuall WordPress Core files (and ignore them in reporting mails) so the list of changed files is short enough to read? Or even better compare somehow the local WordPress files (and Plugins ,-) with the one from the WordPress repository….

    Thanks for consideration!
