    I recently started getting scan errors with not completing. I changed the scan settings to low resources and increased the time limit. Scan then runs ok.
    But it then resets the options the next time a scan runs. It does not retain them.
    Is this some crippled part of the free version? i.e. you have to pay in order to save your settings?

    This is definitely not a restriction within the free version of Wordfence.

    Who are you hosting with?

    Do you see any errors in the browser console when saving the settings?

    I am getting the same problem, the “Time limit that a scan can run in seconds” keeps being reset to 180 and I then get a scan failure email. I increase it to 600 and save, then it happens again. I get no errors when saving. This happen on all 4 of our sites. Set to Limited Scan. We are hosted by 123-reg. Regards, Dave.

    We are also hosted on 123-reg. my settings save once and i can run a custom scan, but the schedule then auto resets to default and I get a timeout email. No errors observed in console

    I just wanted to give you an update on this. I’ve spoken with the developers and unfortunately, this is out of our control. However, they are reaching out to 123-Reg to see if we can help with a solution.

    I am a little confused. I can understand that 123-reg could influence the time taken for a scan, but surely the resetting of the “Time limit that a scan can run in seconds” to 180 must be a function of Wordfence, I don’t see how 123-reg can change that.

    My apologies for missing your update.

    Unfortunately, I don’t have an update as of now.

    The feature only sets the time on their servers. If they wish to reset it there isn’t anything we can do due to the actual configuration being on their servers.
