@wfphil suggested disabling the plugin, which did enable a manual scan, but we’re unable to auto scan with the plugin enabled:

We are having the same issue. We have this plugin on multiple sites and when we upgraded to version 1.1.7 we could no longer run manual Wordfence scans. We have had to downgrade to 1.1.6.
