 * Hi team,
 * Thank you for the awesome plugin. It’s really easy to configure and use.
 * We have a question regarding the plugin being SCA Ready and 3D Secure. Could
   you please tell us if the plugin follows the Strong Customer Authentication (
   SCA) rules and employs 3D Secure for card payments so that we don’t lose out
   on any of your European customers?
 * FYI, we are based in Cyprus i.e under a European Economic Area and thus having
   SCA and 3D mechanism enabled is mandatory for us as stripe documentation says.
 * Looking forward to hearing from you soon
    Thanks & Regards Lavanya

 * Hi there!
 * Thank you for reaching out, and the kind words on the Stripe extension. We tend
   to like it too!

 * The short answer is YES!
    WooCommerce.com works with payment partners, of which
   Stripe.com is one, [to ensure all payment gateway extensions are updated](https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#what-is-scapsd2).
   Our Stripe extension implemented this new change as of version 4.2.0, so please
   ensure that you’re working on the latest version of the extension.
 * We have a post that goes through this in more detail, if you want to read up
   some more:

 * Hi Sven,
 * Thanks a lot for your reply. It’s really helpful.
 * Could you please also help me with tax-related guidelines if any for the stripe
   plugin?
    Anything that we need to take care of while doing settings or integrations.
 * Looking forward to hearing from you soon

 * Taxes on stripe or any other payment gateway are charged via WooCommerce tax
   settings.

 * Hi
 * Many thanks for your reply!
 * We have one more question.
    when any product is purchased from our site, is there
   a way to know which one, using only the stripe dashboard?
 * I mean do we need to encode/ import products from our website into stripe to
   see which product does a specific transaction is associated with? or would it
   be done automatically?
 * Looking forward to hearing from you soon

 * Hello,
 * > when any product is purchased from our site, is there a way to know which one,
   > using only the stripe dashboard?
 * The Stripe dashboard will show all information related to the transaction and
   include some information from the order – like the shipping address – but not
   the order contents.
 * > do we need to encode/ import products from our website into stripe to see which
   > product does a specific transaction is associated with? or would it be done
   > automatically?
 * Usually, you wouldn’t need to visit the Stripe dashboard for each purchase because
   the payment status should be automatically updated in WooCommerce. You will find
   that information in the **Order notes** section inside each order, like shown
   in the image below.

 * I suggest you enable the **Test mode** feature, so you can get to know how the
   whole process works. You can read more about that here: [https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#test-mode](https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#test-mode)
 * Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

 * Hi Paulo,
 * Many thanks for your reply!
 * We reached out to stripe support as well with the same query and this is what
   they had to say.
 * > `As a recap, you reached out changing the Metadata for the order description
   > that shows on your Stripe Dashboard. I’m glad I was able to help you with this.
   > After careful review, metadata is used for storing additional, structured information
   > on an object. For example, when a customer purchases from your website and
   > when your metadata is set up, you’ll have the options to see what was purchased
   > by a specific customer directly from your Stripe Dashboard.
   > That being said, your Metadata needs to be set up on your payment integrations

 * Thanks for sharing the order notes suggestion, it’s great, but we need to see
   which product a customer has purchased on our stripe dashboard too.
 * So, looking forward to hearing from you soon.

 * Hi [@developer04pegasus](https://wordpress.org/support/users/developer04pegasus/),
 * > we need to see which product a customer has purchased on our stripe dashboard
   > too
 * Here is a tutorial that can help with passing additional custom metadata to your
   Stripe dashboard:
 * [https://zeropointdevelopment.com/how-to-add-custom-metadata-to-woocommerce-stripe-purchase/](https://zeropointdevelopment.com/how-to-add-custom-metadata-to-woocommerce-stripe-purchase/)
 * If you’re not a developer and require more help with the actual coding, we’d
   recommend consulting a web developer or one of the customization experts listed
   at [https://woocommerce.com/customizations/](https://woocommerce.com/customizations/).
 * Hope this points you in the right direction!
