    I have sent a “successful” test email but haven’t received it.
    Any idea what may be happening?

    Not in spam.

    UPDATE: I tried sending a test to a different Gmail email and that arrived.
    Why is the first email not receiving the test email – they’re both Gmail accounts?

    Maybe the first Gmail has different security configurations or other different settings.

    Gmail doesn’t have support for these issues, so stay with what works for you.
