# Says API Key is invalid

 * Hi there. When I updated the Akismet plugin just recently, it says my API key
   is no longer valid and I need to get a new one. When I try to log in to get a
   new one, it wants to log into my wordpress.com account and view my wordpress.
   com blog. I have a wordpress.com account and a worldpress.com blog, but I don’t
   use it. I want the API key for my wordpress.org (self hosted) blog. How do I 
   go about getting an API key for that?

 * Akismet uses WordPress.com user accounts for account management, so you would
   need to log in using that account in order to get an API key for your self-hosted
   site.
