# Saving problem

 * Hi.
 * I’m having a problem in saving pages within WP both in post and page. I can edit
   a page/post and when I click on either Save Draft or Publish the edit goes back
   to the Posts page.
 * This happens to any page saves too. It goes to the Posts page. It also happens
   with posts already published previously. I tried it with a post that had been
   published successfully for 2 days now and when I tried to save the minor edit
   it went to the Post page.
 * I’ve been into my db and repaired/optimised that with no luck. I’ve deactivated
   the plugins one by one with no luck.
 * I’ve re-installed WP. No better.
 * I’d hard refreshed and cleared the cache countless times. I’ve scratched my head
   and I’m on the verge of giving up.
 * What has gone wrong?

 * Hi t-p. There is no error message but I have done a short video of the problem
   that, hopefully, will explain the problem.

 * I’ve also tried to edit on another laptop and the problem is there too so it’s
   not a computer problem. It has to be either WP itself or a db problem. As I said
   earlier I have run maintenance on the db and all comes back fine.

 * check Site Health: From your WordPress dashboard, if you go to Tools and then
   select Site Health, then under the Status tab on that page, WordPress will show
   you any improvement recommendations that could help your website. An issue related
   to Rest API could also cause the issue.

 * Hi. There were no issues in Site Health but now, this morning after a nights 
   sleep, the problem seems to have resolved itself.
 * It looks like it was down to the host/db after all. I presume all db’s go through
   a reboot process regularly each night so that may have cleared it out.
