Saving page translates “File URL” to “Post URL”

    I use the uploader to upload the file (a PDF). I then insert a “File URL” into the page, but when I save it, it is automatically translated into a “Post URL”. How can I stop this? Thnx in advance.

    After more investigation, it does that when it adds a “rel=’attachment wp-att-18′”. But on some pages it does add that, and on others it doesn’t. 😕

    I’m having the same issue. By deleting the rel='yada yada' right away, it links right to the file.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

    Yes yes!! This is driving me crazy too!! Any solutions out there, beyond editing the rel= line?

    I’d like to make this super easy for a client.
