[resolved] Save user scores? - missing text field in Firefox 27.0.1. (10 posts)

Dear sirs,
I've noticed this "bug?". When Saving user scores option is checked in Slick Quiz Default options to YES, the form field for entering name is NOT visible in Firefox 27.0.1. (latest). In Chrome 33.0.1750.117 (latest) it is ok.

I tried to restart Firefox in Safe mode (in defaults, without all add-ons), but the field is still invisible.

I don't know, if that issue happened after today's Slick quize and WP 8.1 update or it is just the Firefox version bug, but before that it worked properly in Firefox.

Have you got an idea how to get it fixed?

Thank you for the nice plugin and this support.

@astandera - Thank you for reporting this! I have been able to reproduce this issue. Let me look into this. I know it's an important feature so I'll try to get a fix out ASAP.

@astandera - Have you installed any other new plugins lately? Also, do you have a caching plugin installed?

Lastly, if you have a link to a page where I can see what's happening, that would be awesome.

Hi,
thank you for your willingness, you are incredibly quick :-) There is my replay:
- Slick quiz was the latest installed plugin of all, after complete site setup. No other plugins were installed after. Only update to last version of Slick quiz and WP (3.8.1) yesterday.
- I've tested displaying the field in other browsers. Result (Windows): Opera, Chrome, Safari OK. Android: Maxthon browser OK. It seems to be only Firefox issue (v. 27.0.1)
- link to page: http://www.studiowella.cz/?page_id=900 The field should be visible between the heading Test ... and the blue Submit button, as in other browsers.

Regarding to this nice option in future editions I would find usefull:
- It maight be fine to add an option to fill-in/validate/save to results the user's email addresses instead only usernames to use it for backward communication with them.
- Also deleting lines in results (testers are useless to be there) and some ... csv export.

Overall, great plugin and super support. Thank you again.

@astandera Hmmm I just checked out your page in v27.0.1 Firefox and was able to see the name input. Can you verify that you're logged out of your WordPress site in Firefox?

If a user is logged in, it will not display the name input as it will just grab the logged in user's name instead.

Thanks for your suggestions! I agree, those would both be very useful. Both of them are on my list now: https://github.com/jewlofthelotus/SlickQuiz-WordPress/issues

How can i add the possibility to save each score on a scoreboard only visible to each user?

Sorry, @cybergasm, that functionality does not exist in the plugin yet.

Is it possible to add this feature soon? Or maybe point me in the direction to do this my selfe?

@cybergasm This feature is not a priority for SlickQuiz right now, but if you're familiar with WordPress plugin architectures, you could look at the shortcode and widget logic within the plugin and duplicate and modify whichever one seems closest to your needs.
