Every time I’ve come across this kind of issue before, it’s usually been a bad plugin or theme
OK, well we removed all plugins as you suggested, reset the plugins folder by PhpMyAdmin and the Save icon still hasn’t appeared. Apart from knowing the very basics of WordPress I can’t fix this issue. Do we go back to Woo and tell them its faulty, because they suggested we contact WordPress. The only option I can think of is getting a completely new Woo – Unsigned theme and carrying current content over.
Can we see the site using the Twenty Eleven theme?

Try re-uploading a fresh, unpacked, copy of the Twenty Eleven folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
