# Save customers data

 * WooCommerce 3.3.4/WP 4.9.5.
 * When I manually add an order I first search under ‘guest’ whether the customer
   already exists. If not, I go to “Billing” and add the customers information.
   
   However it seems the customer data doesn’t get stored that way > when I add another
   order I do not find the customer when searching under ‘guest’ (first 3 characters).
   Somehow the system doesn’t view the information as ‘customer’?
 * When customers buy in the webshop, they create an account and this data DOES 
   get stored als customer. It seems when I add an order _manually _this doesn’t
   happen.
 * Is there a setting I need to tweak or something else I’m overlooking?

 * Your observation is correct.
    If you want the data to be reusable you need to
   stop inserting the customer information during manual order creation and go to
   users >> add new users first instead. Create a new user there, then go to the
   manual order creation and search for your newly created user.
