Save as filename is not valid

Hi, I just installed the plugins and try to insert the image URL from google photo, but I can’t. It showed up this pop-up box saying “save as filename is not valid”. I tried putting in basic filename like abc, abc.jpg, 123, 123.jpg but it’s not working as well. Not sure what I did wrong. Please help suggest. Thank you very much.

Hi,

can you provide me a sample image URL and sample of the file name you are trying to use?
Also, if you leave the custom file name blank, does the import work?

Hi, I tried to insert URL from my google photos. The example image location is as below:

I did try leaving the custom file name blank, but it seems that the plugins automatically fill in the filename for me then pop-up “Save As file name is not valid! Please use only valid characters”

Thanks for this! You have found a bug.

Apart from the messy file name, Google does not add the file extension here (it’s a PNG image, but this has to be determined from the mime type of the image).

I’ve added this to my backlog and will address it in the next version.

Hi,

I’ve opened a new topic but I think that I have the same issue with the images coming from the 500px.com website!

Here is an example of link pointing to an image that doesn’t work with the plug-in:
