    Hi!
    I made 2 different filters, based on 2 different product pages, but by clicking on the “search” button (without any options enabled) it seems impossible to exclude the other “category” on the result page.
    Thank u!

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

    Only see one product filter on your site. Could you post a screenshot to show the problem?

    I could’t post picture here. However one is in this page (it should search only cars) and the other is in the motorcycle page (it should search only motocycle)

    Try to exclude categories here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/rRuL1lo6

    Is that what you are looking for?

    Yes, I know how to exclude categories (and I already do that), the point is that if I just click on the “search” button, without choosing any options, it is going to appear every existing product in the page (So even if I’m on the motorcycle page, with the specific product filter, I’m going to see also cars).

    Ah I see. You are right about this. Will report the issue to our developer. As a temporary workaround, please use the ajax search feature without the submit button. So users must select a filter without having to click the submit button.

    @themifyme – I’m looking for a solution to the same issue that @beatricefromitaly is having. I want the filters on a specific category page to ONLY filter that category. Is there a fix to this yet? I’m not using a submit button or anything either. Thank you in advance for any help!

    @maepedersen What you can do is create a separate Product Filter that only includes the categories/tags of that category (on product filter options, you can exclude certain categories/tags). Insert that product filter in the category page. When users visit that category, they would only see the options to the category.

    @themifyme,

    Thanks for the suggestion. However I have tried this already and it still doesn’t work how I would like it to. I’m using checkboxes so even though I can initially get the correct products to show up, the minute I unselect a checkbox, it shows all the products on the site anyway.

    We tried it on our demo. It seems to be working: https://share.getcloudapp.com/04uKK72v (the Divi Shop module has “Technology” products showing, checking and uncheck “Bags” category will return to technology products). Also tried it to show “Hats” category as default, checking and unchecking “Toys” will return to hats: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Apurr7gQ.
