    Hi @archetyped,

Thanks for your plugin. I installed cornerstone and activated it on dev site. Yes It’s working fine. I checked the plugin list and could not find your plugin cornerstone there. I just found another plugin bundled with a certain theme also named “cornerstone”.

My only problem is I can’t deactivate your Cornerstone plugin if I want to since the other “Cornerstone” hijacks the plugin space hence your Cornerstone plugin is not showing.

Thanks in advance and I hope I came clear.

Hi, thank you for the report.

It appears that the theme’s developers did not check the official WordPress plugin directory before naming their plugin. This version of Cornerstone has been in the directory for over 5 years and unfortunately, the name cannot be changed.

I would recommend contacting the theme’s developers to update their plugin’s name to something unique to avoid conflicts with existing plugins (e.g. “Cornerstone (Theme)”, etc.).

Thanks for your response. Convincing them to do that major change for just one user…. Well, I will report it to them though. Kindly share your views on the ff below.

    1. Will leaving it like that may cause any issues?

    2. I read after a search, about controlling the activation and deactivating of the 2 plugins via the Database tables By deleting the main plugin file content [ eg. i:0;s:19:”akismet/akismet.php”; ] in the wp_options active_plugins table. Can you tell the main plugin file for your plugin in the active_plugin table? Seems I will need it.

    3. The problem I see is how control your cornerstone from the plugin list and I can live with that. I hope it does not have a setting link there?

Also I can easily track the two plugins in the “wp content/plugins/cornerstone”. I will just refer to the directory paths in their respective original plugin folders, So I know which files to delete or modify when need be.

I really need your plugin to work on my site.
Thanks in advance for your patience.

I’ll mark this as resolved since keeping it open will do no good.

    Thanks for help. Take care.
