# Same IP for every hit

 * Hi, just installed WP statistics with my new site but it’s been showing the same
   IP. The IP is the client IP, and it’s not showing the visitor’s actual IP. I 
   already checked all the settings. I even tried other statistics plugin and they
   did show the actual IP of visitors. Anything I’m missing with WP statistics?

 * Sounds like you’re using a reverse proxy, CDN or something similar. Check if 
   the real IP is somewhere present in $_SERVER – if so [this](https://github.com/wp-statistics/wp-statistics/pull/122/files)
   might work or should be easy to adapt.
