Support » Plugin: Contact Form 7 » same domain name different server for emails

  • Hi all,

Maybe someone here will be able to give me an advice…
We have a website on 1 server and emails are being hosted on different server/by different company.

Both website and emails share same domain name, so it’s like:
    http://www.example.com – website host server
    info@example.com – emails host server

Emails wont get delivered and I can’t figure out what to do.
I have changed MX Records on website hosting to remote with mail server details but still nothing.

    What am I missing? 🙁

P.S. Using contact form 7 but I don’t think that matters in this case.

  • Some hosts have very specific requirements which can effect significantly the sending of emails from WordPress.

You probably need to discuss this issue with your web hosting provider.

See also Contact Form 7 Email Issues. Most people that work through this information appear to be able to resolve their email sending & receiving issues.

Nah, it’s not WordPress related. It’s web host vs email host related.
Emails are getting send just fine, we’re getting the cc’s and bcc’s where ever we want… but not so much luck with the main email addresses that have same domain name as website, but are not local.

    Days researching… more to come I see…

Was just hoping someone here had similar issue.
